Privacy Policy
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) and Rutgers University Department of Nutritional Sciences are firmly committed to maintaining the privacy of those who visit and register at our website.
Your privacy is very important to us. We want to make your experience on our site as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use our vast array of information and nutrition lessons.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) will never share any of your information including your email address, with any other organization. All information that you provide us with online is strictly for the internal use of our program staff and helps us to track who is using the website, and what information is needed and used.
REGISTRATION
Since Rutgers is a research university, it is important for us to know how the informational material provided by our program is being used. Therefore first time visitors will have to register by filling out a security profile questionnaire. This will give us the opportunity to learn more about our users. Users are asked to provide certain personal information, when they wish to access our lesson plans including professional association and the last four digits of their social security number. Email address and social security information will serve as usernames and passwords only. These were selected to ensure easy recognition of pass codes for both continued use and ease of use. Emails will only be sent if a registered user has forgotten their password and requests it be sent to them.
RESPONSES TO EMAIL INQUIRIES
When visitors and users send email inquiries to us, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.
