There are many outstanding FNS programs and projects being implemented throughout the state that merit recognition. We are seeking teams that are affiliated with the NJ Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP), EDNEP or through Suppoer Network members and SNAP intiiatives which meet the award criteria. Please take the time to nominate yourself or peers who have demonstrated achievements in nutrition education programs that target limited resource populations in New Jersey.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Team Achievement Award is to recognize outstanding accomplishments in nutrition education with Food Stamp-eligible audiences. All achievements must be reproducible, have made a measurable impact, and use best practice standards. More favorable consideration will be given to those projects performed through diverse collaborative partnerships and those focusing on the SNAP initiative to promote healhtier eating behaviors, including increasing calcium and fruit and vegetable consumption and reducing nutrition-related diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
